Founded in 1996, Liaison College is Ontario’s largest trainer of chefs and cooks and offers four diploma programs that are designed to best suit your needs.

 Whether you’re interested in a Basic Cook Diploma, a Chef de Cuisine Diploma, a Specialist Chef Diploma or a Culinary Management Diploma, the Liaison College professional graduate services team guides you in making the right choice for your career.

 Known for its strength of Culinary and Chef Diploma Programs, professional and qualified chef instructors and enthusiastic graduates, Liaison College in Oakville also offers a variety of themed recreational cooking classes for everyday use, kid’s camps and boot camp cooking lessons.

All instructors at Liaison College are Certified Chefs with many years of experience in the Culinary Arts and Oakville’s instructor is no exception. Chef Mark Duncan has had a lifelong passion for cooking and the culinary arts.

Chef Mark began loving food at an early age. With parents originally from New York and Carolina, he was introduced to a diversity of foods and cooking methods at the tender age of five. His deep appreciation for all types of foods, and regional cooking styles, led him to begin his culinary career in his teens.

Since then, Mark has been involved with many restaurants in the United States, and being the host of long-running television series Even Guys Can Cook. In the show, he introduced kitchen novices to a healthy way of cooking, while paying attention to taste and presentation.

After moving to Canada in 2006, Mark formalized his education, attending Liaison Culinary Arts College, where he graduated with honours and received the President’s Award for his efforts.

In 2009, Mark entered into the personal chef field, creating Din-11, his own cooking and catering business. Mark has also worked as a Head/Executive Chef at a variety of establishments.

Now, Chef Mark is back at Liaison College Oakville Campus to teach others how to feed their passion and realize their dream of becoming a culinary artist.
