Markham Stouffville Hospital

Markham Stouffville Hospital is a multi-site hospital that serves the rapidly growing communities of Markham, Uxbridge and Whitchurch-Stouffville. With leading diagnostic services, Markham Stouffville Hospital offers top-notch medical and surgical care that’s focused on patient needs. Employing 275 physicians and 1,700 staff, Markham Stouffville Hospital was built to provide care to a community of 110,000 people.
Today it serves nearly 300,000 people and is rapidly expanding to better care for those patients. To continue to provide exceptional progressive community care, we will be building a new addition to the south and west of the existing building that will double the size of the MSH facility.
Our expansion plans include:
New Emergency Department
Improved and Expanded Ambulatory Clinics
More Inpatient Beds and Operating Rooms
New Diagnostic Imaging Department
New Maternal Child Area
New Mental Health Unit
In order to facilitate the existing building’s much-needed expansion, MSH needs resident support, help and donations. Currently, the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation is undertaking a $50 million fundraising campaign to support the hospital’s mandate to be a progressive community hospital.
