Good Shepherd kicks off its Christmas Hamper program

A line of more than 50 people stood patiently on Cannon Street in front of the Good Shepherd Warehouse food bank Monday morning, awaiting the 10 a.m. start of the charity’s annual Christmas Hamper program.
As people filed in, they were greeted by Andy Williams Christmas songs through speakers and given a buggy and hamper (a cardboard box of more than 20 household items). From there, they were paired with an escort, a volunteer who helped them through the various sections of the food bank.
