Modern appliances and fixtures
are high tech but old fashion sentiment makes kitchens the preferred gathering
place for family and friends. Every year, thousands of Canadians that plan to
remodel their kitchens end up with their projects on hold because of concerns
about cost, mess and time.
If you’re planning a dream
kitchen but have concerns or don’t know where to start, John McInnis of Kitchen
Tune-Up suggests that you consider the remodeling solutions offered by his
company to understand your options.
Option 1 – “Renew” what you have
If you like the layout of your kitchen, and you like your cabinets but they’re tired and worn…a Tune-Up might be the answer. As John explains it, “the process is designed to restore the
original finish to 90-95% without losing the natural patina. You can’t change the colour with a Tune-Up but by renewing the finish and possibly changing the hardware and counter top, you can get a fresh look for a fraction of the cost of a new kitchen.” Tune-Ups are done in home in 1-2 days.
Option 2 – “Reface” existing cabinets for a totally new look
If you like your kitchen layout, your cabinet boxes are in good shape but you want to change the colour and door style, Refacing is a cost effective option. Kitchen Tune-Up offers 1000’s of door styles and finishes. According to John, “installing new doors and trim and
covering exposed cabinetry with matching or complimentary material produces a dramatic new look for 40-60% less than a total new kitchen replacement.”
Refacing usually takes 3-5 days.
Option 3 – “Restyle” to turn your existing kitchen
into a dream kitchen
When you Reface, you can change many of the things you don’t like about your kitchen by adding new cabinet
components to match those refaced. “We call this Re-styling” says John McInnis, and you will be amazed by what can they can do. “The more of the original
kitchen you reuse, the more cost effective the Re-style”, says John.
“Re-styling is by far our most popular option.”
Option 4 – Create a complete new “Custom Kitchen”
Sometimes the only way to get exactly what you want is to start with a clean slate. With virtually
endless possibilities John explains how Kitchen Tune-Up makes the process enjoyable.
“One of our Design Consultants will partner with you to create kitchen that
perfectly reflects your taste, goals and budget.”
