Bob Clark joined the moving industry more than 30 years ago when he accepted a position as a salesperson at a northern Ontario moving company. As is the case with many small moving companies, duties were expanded to include a portion of the year spent as a professional van operator. This experience really gave Bob a grass roots education in what it takes to perform a successful move and to run a moving company.

With his sales ability, Bob grew the company’s sales to the point that it was the 7th largest agency for a national van line which comprised more than 200 agencies. Next he took his talents to another major van line where, as Director of Marketing, he was responsible for business development, training and agency relations.

In 1989 he ventured into the world of entrepreneur when he purchased a local Oakville- based moving company. In a few short years he expanded this company and in 1993 joined Atlas Van Lines as Vice President, Agency and Business Development where once again he excelled.

Throughout Bob’s career he has trained thousands of moving consultants and helped hundreds of agency owners improve their business practices. He has also been involved in a number of group moves including the 2005 Imperial Oil move from Calgary to Toronto. Bob personally managed the Atlas team who moved more than 500 families and more than 100 tractor trailers of office furniture during the busiest time of the moving year. In 2008 Bob was promoted to President and COO of Atlas Canada thereby bringing his career full circle.

Bob is an accomplished public speaker and has spoken at many conferences in Canada and the United States. He is responsible for Atlas’ partnership with Royal LePage Real Estate, a relationship which dates back to 1995. Bob is the past Chairman of the Ontario Club, a former Director of Child Find Ontario and a founding member of the Canadian Employee Relocation Council.

Bob and his wife Janice are long-time residents of Oakville and active members of St. Jude’s Anglican Church.
