Living the Dream - more...

Ron Tchorek’s career has taken him from working with what surrounds a home to the home itself, moving from landscape design into real estate.

A graduate of a landscape design program in London Ontario, he started his own company two years later in the area. After another two years he decided to return to his hometown of Simcoe, Ontario where he purchased his first commercial development property that he rented to retailers. Still firmly grounded in his profession, Tchorek opened a landscape garden centre, featuring arts, crafts, antiques and fruit and vegetable markets. This business married well with wholesale agricultural operations servicing many markets in the Toronto region.

In 1990, he founded a commercial and residential property management service in Norfolk County that offered renovations, landscaping, and property maintenance. Ever the green thumb, in 1997 he established Canada’s only shade leaf wrapper plantation. Wearing his other hat, he further expanded in residential rental property in 2004.

His most recent real estate venture began in 2006 with the purchase of shares in Norfolk Fairway Estates in Delhi, Ontario, the crown jewel of three development phases. The first dates back to the early 1990s with a residential subdivision. It was followed in 2000 with a townhouse condominium development. This laid the way for another condominium development which is the third and final phase. These high-end, luxury condos are directly within the Delhi Golf and Country Club. In 2008 Tchorek became condominium manager at Norfolk Fairway Estates and in 2009 he took on the role of Sales and Marketing.
