Robb Ryan manages an outstanding installation staff and that makes the job of solving customers’ problems a lot easier.

As custom audio/video manager, he oversees the integration of audio and video systems throughout customers’ homes. Ryan has been involved in this East Hamilton Radio specialty for 10 years, beginning on the home audio sales floor 10 years ago. It was a great job for someone who enjoys listening to music. Ryan also enjoys playing music. He’s a drummer who studied music performance at Humber and Mohawk colleges and still dabbles in jazz and ethnic music.

He’s been in the department since it was first established and enjoys the positive feedback from customers. They come into the store with an idea of what they’d like in their home entertainment system and Ryan’s department delivers. Retrofitting older homes has become their specialty. He estimates 80 per cent of the systems they install go into older homes. The goal is to hide all of the wiring and create a system that’s easy to use. There are often challenges but that keeps things interesting.

The reputation of East Hamilton Radio as a custom installer of home audio and video goes beyond Hamilton with customers in the surrounding communities of Ancaster, Grimsby and Oakville.
