“From there, we make a wax model that is an exact replica of what the piece will look like,” explains Watt. If it’s a ring, the wax model can be tried on to ensure the size of the ring is accurate and it’s exactly what the customer envisioned. The next step is creating a rough gold cast. The model is then finished by placing the stones and polishing the piece to perfection. When the customer is completely satisfied, they walk happily away with a piece of jewelry that no one else in the world has.
