Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga is making life a lot easier by offering a wardrobe consultation service – Be the One Wardrobe sessions for both men and women. The team of seven knowledgeable fashion consultants share a background in fashion and each has developed an understanding for how today’s trends can be translated to accommodate a person’s busy lifestyle. They also offer an insider’s perspective on everything that Square One’s fashion retailers have to offer.

When a client arrives for their shopping session, the wardrobe consultant meets with the client in the fashion office to determine their lifestyle, likes and dislikes and body type.

“I take a few minutes to chat and then my objective is to quickly zero in on what her needs and lifestyle are and what she’s looking for,” says Erika Larva, wardrobe consultant and the head consultant leading the Square One program. From there Larva takes the client shopping to try on different styles and outfits. With more than 300 of the most recognizable brand names to choose from, your fashion consultant will help you interpret today’s trends to find the style that’s right for you. According to Larva, the best shopping advice is to determine the key pieces in your wardrobe that fit your lifestyle.

“The investment pieces are very important and they’ll carry you throughout the whole season,” explains Larva. Determining a client’s budget is also extremely important to make sure they feel comfortable during the session. “Once we’ve met the client, we ask them if they’re on a budget because we don’t want them to feel uncomfortable,” explains Larva. As a wardrobe consultant, Larva uses this information to choose which stores to shop for the client.

Christine Giovis, a Be the One Wardrobe session client, enlisted Larva’s help to enhance her wardrobe. Larva recommended a few beautiful tops to extend Christine’s wardrobe. As a business woman, Christine also needed outfits that could transition from the office to an evening event.

“For Christine, we’re looking for a great business look that can take her into an evening look since she has a lot of cocktail parties to attend,” explains Larva. When it comes to the finishing touches of the outfit, accessories play a huge role. From the shoes and purses to bracelets and earrings, accessories can help make the outfit. Larva recommends that for Christine’s transition from the office to an evening party, she change the look with different shoes, purse, and jewelry.
