Brenda Anderson and Andrea Balfour are
known for creating stunningly functional kitchens, but they can also help redesign
other rooms in the home. The talented design team has earned a reputation for
creating gorgeous dream kitchens, but their creative flair isn’t limited to
kitchens and bathrooms. Whether you have a kitchen, living room, or home office
that is in desperate need of a makeover, Anderson Balfour Kitchen Design Inc.
can help create the perfect space in your home.
“Quite often when we’ve completed a kitchen project
in a client’s home, they take us into the other areas of the house that need to
be renovated,” explains Brenda Anderson, Certified Kitchen Designer and
co-owner of Anderson Balfour Kitchen Designs Inc. From a laundry rooms to an en suite bathroom
to a hall closet, no room is off limits. “We’ll design a beautiful and
functional space in any area of your home,” says Anderson. The redesign process
begins by speaking with the client to determine the problems of the current
space. We then come up with some design solutions to resolve those problems,
say Anderson.
Using their 40 years of combined experience as kitchen and bath designers
and renovation specialists, Balfour and Anderson apply the principals of
kitchen design to the rest of the house. Storage is a perfect example of a
kitchen design requirement that can be applied to a closest or bathroom.
According to Anderson, kitchens and bathrooms are the
two most popular rooms in the house that clients request to have
renovated. Anderson attributes this to
older home that often have small, dark bathrooms and tiny kitchens. In a recent
design project, the design duo renovated a townhouse which had a small en suite
bathroom. We opened up the walls of the shower and enlarged it to accommodate
two people, says Anderson, adding that a bench and beautiful shower fixtures
were also added. New tile with beautiful patterns were added in the shower
stall and bathroom floor to add warmth and texture. A floating vanity with a
vessel sink finished off the project.
