For 30 years librarian Andrea Gordon has enjoyed putting the right books in the hands of eager readers. During most of her career, Andrea has worked in Children's & Youth Services, leading a system-wide team that serves children and families. Books by Canadian authors and folk and fairytales are Andrea's favourite library collections.

Andrea represents the Halton libraries on the Our Kids - Early Years network.Outside the library, Andrea enjoys travel, knitting, reading, and teaching and practicing Taoist Tai Chi. She is a member of the Ontario Library Association, Canadian Library Association, American Library Association, International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) Canada, Canadian Children's Book Centre, Friends of the Osborne Collection, Taoist Tai Chi Society, and Autism Ontario.

Burlington Public Library is a tax-supported registered charitable organization with six branches citywide. The Library provides a wide variety of services and programs for people of all ages.
