In the ingredient list for the recipe that is Liaison College of Culinary Arts in Hamilton, Nicole Harrison is the dough that holds it all together.

The daughter of the owners of Liaison College Hamilton, Murline and Gene Mallette, she describes herself as the “middle person” who works in conjunction with the chefs and the students and of course the owners. She has been with the college since 1998 and when the college’s catering service began, she took charge of the front of house, contracts and contacts. It was only natural since she has been running her own wedding and special events business for more than 11 years. Harrison loves every aspect of the business that makes good use of her organizational skills.

Harrison has the distinction of having her name engraved on a rock that represents the "Successful Lake Ontario Swims". The world class swimmer is the fifth fastest female swimmer to cross Lake Ontario from Niagara-on-the-lake to Marilyn Bell Park (53km) in a time of 16 hours and 10 minutes. She currently swims with the Etobicoke Masters Swim Club in Toronto and has traveled abroad to places like New Zealand and Italy representing Canada in the pool.

No matter the pursuit, Harrison is dedicated and determined to a job well done, whether it is something for herself personally, her business as a wedding coordinator or as an important team member at Liaison College, Hamilton campus.
