“Relaxology and Wellness Centre is actually a combination of
a spa and health centre,” explains Teresa Hsin, general manager and director of
Relaxology Health Centre. Spa services include everything from body scrubs,
facials to wax treatments. “On the health side of the business we provide body
massage, foot reflexology, acupuncture, and Chinese medicine. “ Foot
reflexology is an ancient massage technique that the Relaxology Centre
specializes in. This special foot massage applies pressure to reflex points on
the foot. The centre treats the whole package – body, mind, and soul. That’s
why Relaxology is called a wellness centre.
With several locations in Ontario and future plans to open
new franchises across Canada, Relaxology is building a reputation with customers
who are looking to relax and distress.
The treatments rooms are themed by country, so when a client comes in
for a treatment, they can request a specific room. Perhaps they’re in the mood
for the Japanese room or maybe the Moroccan room.
“We used a theme in the room so customers aren’t bored,”
says Hsin. When customers come back, they can request a different room. By the
time they’ve had several treatments, they’ll have enjoyed a tranquil journey
around the world.
For a client wanting to book a treatment with friends Hsin
recommends customers making an appointment as a group, where they’ll be able to
enjoy a catered lunch and spa treatments.
Or for those customers who want to distress over their lunch break, they
can come in and have their feet soaked and enjoy a reflexology treatment.
All the Relaxology Wellness Centres offer a clean and
relaxing environment for clients to unwind. All staff undergoes extensive
training at the centres training school, to ensure clients are all trained to
meet Relaxology’s standards.
“It doesn’t matter how many years they’ve worked in the
business. They have to pass our examination before we put them in front of the
customers,” Hsin says.
