Sheila Clark literally danced her way into broadcasting by way of Latin competitive dance. A former Canadian Champion who competed and danced all over the world, she got involved in judging and emceeing major dance competitions.

There were also television appearances to which the British Columbia native brought the self confidence and vitality of a world-class performer. At home on the stage and on camera, Clark has become well known in York Region as the emcee of annual charitable events. Her ease in front of the camera is evident in the series of video features she hosted for North of the City Magazine online at yorkregion.com.

Clark emcees three or four events each month and is dedicated to three main charities; the United Way, Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation (in particular its new cancer care program) and Polo for Heart, an event that combines her equestrian background with a desire to support heart and stroke related research and programs.

Be it York Region’s United Way gala, a bachelor auction that benefits Willow, a support group for those affected by breast cancer , the New Market Mayor’s gala or the Mayor of Aurora’s Community Awards, Clark keeps the show rolling.

As an online host, Clark has taken viewers behind the wheel of car makers’ latest offerings, to a local organic market, Nordic walking and other fitness pursuits, to the kitchens of popular restaurants, homes decked out for a charity house tour and art galleries.

Now the mother of two children in their 20s has brought her experience and flair for conversation to DailyWebTV.com. She’ll be introducing the online audience to local experts through what she deems is “a fabulous platform for local business”.
