"Duty makes us do things well, but love makes us do them beautifully." This quote from sales guru Zig Ziglar nicely summarizes how Tom and Diane Mitchell have been able to help more than 2,500 families find their next home. “I’ve lived in this community since I was six years old and Tom grew up on a farm in Sharon,” explains Diane. “Our parents live here, we’ve raised our children here – and we love it.”

The Mitchell Team is proud to be a part of Keller Williams and feel privileged to serve their community. They’ve also become a York Region success story, with Tom consistently ranking in the top 100 agents on the Toronto Real Estate Board, which has approximately 27,000 members.

But this level of achievement was many years in the making, as both Tom and Diane each have 23 and 24 years in the real estate business. Their business model is typical of most corporations – divide the many responsibilities and allow each team member to specialize.

Diane handles the administration group – the glue that holds the team together. Supporting sales, they look for ways to better advertise and promote their client’s property. “We have ‘client care administration’ where somebody is in touch with each client from the start of the transaction until long after it closes so they have a constant “go to” person at all times,” says Diane.

Tom works with the agents on the sales team to cover all inquiries, ensuring that no opportunity to show one of our listings is missed.

"We’ve created a powerful vehicle that allows us to focus on each of our clients buying or selling needs,” explains Diane.

Tom and Diane are also heavily involved in charitable endeavors, sponsoring 18 children through World Vision – and more locally – soccer and baseball teams. Diane is involved with the Southlake Foundation and Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and has helped raise a half a million dollars for breast cancer research. She also works with Willow, a support group for women who’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer.
